This program is organized in collaboration with various cultural and artistic spaces in Gwangju.
The second participating artist, Jung Myung Sook, visually reconstructs the sensory experiences of daily life and memories of specific places, expressing personal connections to locations through her artwork. You can explore the artist’s narrative on May 1st during the dialogue, moderated by curator Sung-woo Kim. Your participation and interest are warmly encouraged.

[*Artist Introduction]
Jung Myung Sook studied Korean painting at Chosun University and completed her Master's in Art Education and coursework for a Ph.D. in Fine Arts. Her work primarily involves installation, drawing, and photography, through which she visually reinterprets memories and personal experiences tied to specific places. She intricately combines natural and everyday materials, such as mother-of-pearl and paper, to create detailed expressions. Recently, Jung has actively participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, primarily in Gwangju.
