Taejun Yun is an artist who works through photography to explore the encounters between the material and the immaterial, physical reality and the digital, and images and sensory perception. Moving fluidly across photography, digital screens, printed media, and installation, he experiments with the ways images are generated, transformed, and once again returned to matter. Through the subtle sensory gap that emerges where the seamless surfaces of digital images meet the tangible weight of the physical world, his work opens up new possibilities that photography can hold.
Presented at Space DDF, an alternative art space that has introduced a wide range of contemporary photography and image-based exhibitions and projects since 2021, this session invites critic Kim Juweon to look more deeply into Taejun Yun's practice.
We warmly welcome your interest and participation.
